The stressed-out city dweller, surrounded by concrete and advertising, inhales exhaust fumes and puts headphones in his ears to temporarily drown out the cacophony of fellow passengers’ voices, the constant ringing of phones and the intrusive noise of traffic.

Their everyday life is adapted to work and family. Every holiday is reserved for foreign travel, sun and beach, heartburn-inducing food and drinking into the early hours with others who want to escape the city.

But the city also has beaches, deciduous forests and silence that embraces us. You and I, we’re going to the woods, my friend. In the midst of the capital’s hustle and bustle, we find a moment of peace, even if we created it ourselves through memories and dreams.
At Galleri Lyktan in Skogås, we will achieve calm with the help of the magical Lyktan in the middle of the stressful and suffocating city. All visitors are invited to co-create during the course of the exhibition.
